There is simply nowhere more divine, more magical, more evocative of a Life Well Lived, than in Napa and Sonoma Valley wine country. Why not start your life together here, where La Dolce Vita permeates every sip, every bite, every vista? We’ll design the honeymoon package you both have been dreaming of, together.
Every year between the end of May and the middle of June, the Sonoma Lavender Festival turns Kenwood, in the Sonoma Valley, into a truly magical place. Sonoma Lavender is a commercial business near wonderful Chateau St. Jean Winery. For one weekend each year, the business opens to the public and you can become fully surrounded by all things lavender. If the two of you like to cook, or simply enjoy unusual cuisine, you’ll be in foodie heaven when you eat lavender sausages and follow it up with lavender ice cream. Truly sublime.
And, of course, there you are in the old heart of Sonoma’s wine country. Walk over to Chateau St. Jean and rejoice in the intimate splendor. Take a short drive toBenziger Winery and hop on one of their cruisers. You’ll trundle through the vineyards and discover what they’re doing to promote organic winery practices in the Sonoma Valley. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a tasting of their premium wines and then head to the tasting room.
Just up the hill from Benziger’s you’ll find Jack London Park. There are few love stories and romances that are more exuberant than Jack and Charmian London’s. Inside the House of Happy Walls, the home Charmian built after Jack London died, you’ll find a tribute, anything but stuffy, to their exploits. Every photo is a portrait of romance and marriage at its finest. Two souls exploring the world at large and the world of ideas. Rough times? Of course there were. Ecstasy? Absolutely. They’re an inspiration to lovers everywhere.
Have a romantic picnic anywhere on the thousands of acres that make up this park. Toast to romance, to honeymoons, to love and to nature. And have a beautiful, authentic wine country honeymoon.
It truly is all about the joy!
